A brace from Zlatan Ibraimovic helped Man United ease to a victory over West Brom.

In the fifth minute, he headed in from a fantastic Jesse Lingard cross. Although Ibrahimovic was the one who scored, all the credit should go to Lingard, who set him up with a wonderful delivery. Also in the first half, Ibrahimovic got a yellow card for barging into Craig Dawson , but he was close to being sent off. Wayne Rooney, who is still waiting to equal Sir Bobby Charlton with the most goals for United, had a long-shot saved by Ben Foster. West Brom didn’t create much all game but, Salomon Rondon did have a header which went wide.

In the 55th minute in the second half, Rooney passed it to Ibrahimovic, who drove into the West Brom box before shooting into the bottom corner via a deflection. Marcos Rojo, who’s been in the headlines a few times recently for bad challenges was booked for dissent here after clashing with Rondon. He thought Rondon had fouled him and Rondon ended up pushing him in the chest. Also, he appeared to slap him in the face. Rondon was also booked.

West Brom, who have been doing very well failed to threaten at all in the match. United controlled the possession all match and fully deserved the win. Ibrahimovic now has 10 goals in his last 9 games and has 16 goals in all competitions this season, which is 11 more than any other team-mate. United are now sixth, three points off Tottenham in fifth and points off Arsenal in fourth.

Next up for United is a game at home to Sunderland on the 26th of December. Hopefully they can carry on their winning form. They have now won three in a row in the league.
