Sol Bamba was sent off and lost his head confronting a few people, including Neil Warnock, Cardiff’s manager.
Aron Gunnarsson scored to put Cardiff in front in the first half. Before his goal, he hit the post with a half-volley early on. Also, he had a shot from distance saved by Bartosz Bialkowski. In the 38th minute he did score after Bialkowski dropped the ball from a corner and he shot in.
In the second half Ipswich equalised in the 52nd minute. He converted Adam Webster’s pull-back from 12 yards. After this, in the 70th minute, Bamba was sent off for his angry reaction to a tackle by Jonathan Douglas. He confronted the referee and fourth official, before Warnock tried to calm him down. After a few words were exchanged, Bamba pushed his arm away. Even though they were down to 10 men, Cardiff still had the best chance but, Luke Chambers blocked from Bruno Ecuele Manga.
City remain in the bottom three and Ipswich slip to 17th because of this result. Next up for the Bluebirds are Wolves at home on Tuesday, the 13th of December and they will be hoping to get The win.
The draw did neither side any favours – the Welsh side remain in the bottom three and Ipswich in 17th.
