Cardiff got back to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over faltering Huddersfield.
Goals from Sean Morrison, Junior Hoiletg and Rickie Lambert won the encounter for City, who remain in 21st. Morrison headed in a corner in the 15th minute to put Cardiff ahead, and two minutes later Hoilett turned in a rebound to put Cardiff 2-0 up. Tommy Smith replied in the 28th minute from Kasey Palmer’s pass, but Rickie Lambert restored the 2 goal lead in the 33rd minute by sweeping in a headed flick.
In the second half, Philip Billing scored a superb volley in the 70th minute. This set up a tense finish, but Cardiff held on to get their 3rd win out of 6 games under Neil Warnock. Huddersfield dropped down to 4th after Reading beat Burton and they remain 6 points behind second-placed Brighton.
Cardiff’s next game is away at Aston Villa next Saturday and they will be hoping for another positive result.
